CRT proponents claim both that CRT is not taught in K-12 schools, and that it *is* taught, but that it is an accurate recounting of American history. Neither of those contradictory statements is true.
The CRT that people are opposed to is the CRT popularized by Robin DiAngelo and Ibram X. Kendi. CRT (the legal theory of 1982) did not remain static. It evolved, and was adapted in other fields of study. Todays CRT also includes elements of Paulo Freires Critical Pedagogy.
CRT is highly unpopular. One out of four blacks surveyed had unfavorable views. Democrats are promoting it, and naturally Republicans see it as a winning issue. The more people find out about it, the less they like it.
People making these inane arguments, like Dr. Hoskin, are ensuring more debacles like what happened in Virginia. The left really needs to pull its head out of the sand.
